We are a group of friendly leisure sailors who enjoy social sailing — both cruising and amateur racing — visiting new areas and events as well as the traditional favourites. We aim to offer a variety of destinations, number of days on board and actively support training and improvement of your sailing skills.
Something for everyone regardless of ability.

It would be great to start the City Sailing Series 2024 with a drinks party hosted at the Little Ship Club on Thursday 4th April, 5.30 to 8pm (likely followed by a curry for those needing food)..
This event should be about promoting the five 2025 Regattas to all our club skippers and crew please. So we need to know ASAP what numbers are likely to attend please. Could you each please ask your members how many would like to participate in the evening of Thursday 4th April and let me know by the end of the week?
Please contact Simon Jackson (or René directly) if you would like to attend.
It appears there has been an issue with the Direct Debit system used by the club for membership fees and these have not been debited as expected on 1-Feb.
This is suspected to be due to a new processing system at SmartDebit (after their merger with The Access Group) and is being investigated.
The membership debits will be taken ASAP once the issue has been resolved.
UPDATE 6-Feb: The DD provider have contacted me and are rescheduling the 1-Feb debits for Monday 12th Feb; please expect your £20 membership renewal fee to be debited on that date. Thank you for your patience while the club works through this problem.
Following the fantastic success of last year’s trip to the Balearics, we’re offering another Mediterranean cruise in 2024. This will be a week-long event based out of Alimos Marina, nr. Athens, Greece.
Those already interested in the trip have confirmed the dates as stated, found a suitable charter boat and are looking to get this all confirmed during February. We are budgeting a charter cost of £4,000, so £585 to £810 per person, which will likely include a decent start to the kitty too.
If you are at all interested in joining us for what will undoubtedly be another amazing week’s sailing in the sun, please contact Simon at the usual email address ASAP!
UPDATE 6-Feb: Seladon II (Beneteau Oceanis 50 Family) has now been confirmed as booked for the club, and we also have 7 members on this trip. There is still potential for a 2nd yacht with enough interest. Let me know if you have a bit of FOMO!
UPDATE 14-Feb: After a bit of an unexpected changearound, we now have a different Beneteau Oceanis 50, this time chartered from Alimos Marina. This conveniently makes the pre- and post-charter travel arrangements a lot simpler, being on the edge of Athens itself.
A reminder that the club’s 2024 Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 19th March at 7pm, via Microsoft Teams; the Teams meeting will open at 6.30pm for a quick social and Teams connection troubleshooting.
We will be publishing the agenda, Teams meeting details and other AGM docs in the next few weeks.
